Workshop Goals
This will be an online workshop on Illustrated Nature Journaling. It will be online to allow people to develop the skill of nature journaling anywhere they are, and not be limited to where it would be taught. It would provide access to everyone at any time.
- Illustrated Nature Journaling for Beginners
- Students will need access to the internet and a device to access an internet browser and watch videos, basic art supplies, and appropriate gear for nature walks.

- HSP.2PE Demonstrate increasing skill with materials and techniques.

- Teaching Objectives: Introduce art techniques in a nature setting to increase skill, explore problem solving, practice journal keeping to document personal growth, and provide mental benefits of nature and recognize what a contribution keeping a nature art journal can have on everyday life.
- Students’ Learning outcomes: Students will build confidence in their art skills to be able to engage in illustrating in a nature journal over the course and be prepared to continue beyond of the workshop. They will be able to understand basic art techniques, engage in proper nature hiking activities, and demonstrate observational skills through their journal entries.

- Instructional activities: Art (color theory, basic drawing techniques, and medium techniques), nature hike skills (safety, proper gear, use of nature guides), observing skills and journaling skills.
